Hi to all in ETEC 522 this term.
I’m Carina. I currently live in Langley, B.C. and teach grade four in a small (less than 300) elementary school. This is my 14th year as a classroom teacher. They warn you that time will fly by when you are a first-year teacher, but they don’t mention that happens in the blink of an eye. I love integrating technology into my classroom in new and meaningful ways. I especially love creating new digital learning resources and experiences for my students.
This is my 7th (or 8th) course in MET, as I am taking two courses this term (ETEC 521 is the other course). The end is in sight! I’m excited to learn everything I can and contribute to this shared learning experience we are embarking on together.
The photo I shared is from a retreat I took part in recently at Loon Lake. I love being surrounded by nature. My happy place is on a hiking trail, breathing in that fresh pine scent and enjoying the amazing scenery.
