Hello from Sam

Hi fellow co-learners, my name is Sam.

I am currently on my fourth course in the MET program. My educational background is an undergraduate in Adult Education from the University of New Brunswick and a Master of Education from Brock University. I am very interested in informal and non-formal learning and the learning experiences that adults dismiss without recognizing as knowledge/learning.

I am a current serving military member – for nearly 20 years. I am very interested in hearing about those experiences of my peers that are external to the military. I am looking forward to the perspectives that my peers will bring to the posts and the learning tangents I will most likely take each week (I guarantee that most posts will end up having me go down rabbit holes and get a little into the weeds – but it is what I find most interesting with these types of courses).

Ellie, my four year old bloodhound mix is my profile picture – she may look sad, but I promise you she is a pretty happy dog.

I look forward to learning with you all this semester.

Sam

Hi Sam, that is really interesting that you will get to approach this course from a military perspective. Don’t worry, I think we all go down those rabbit holes! I cannot see Ellie but I can’t wait to see her!

I could not see Ellie on this post but she is indeed adorable on your profile photo! (Also this was good to learn that you cannot edit comments after they are posted, woopsies!)
