Greetings Ventures in Learning Technologies scholars. I’m David, a six-year teacher, and I work at an IB school in Hong Kong teaching English language and literature. To explain, language covers a diverse range of texts, such as advertisements, newspaper articles, cartoons… basically any form of text that can be read. I enjoy implementing technology in the classroom in order to make communication and the presentation of information more interesting. However, I also like to consider the pros and cons that come with new technologies, such as Language Learning Models (LLMs). I am looking forward to this course, as it promises to be a different experience than the other three courses I’ve taken so far. I look forward to learning from you all.
