Genially is a clever software and has helped many users for Academic and Business related purposes
Juan, Chema and Luis are great examples of using the skills of each other and coming together to build something useful and different. It is great to see people with different careers and experiences be able to work together using their strengths and passions to identify a need and come up with an idea to solve it.
First time heard about LingQ as Duolinguo is a much more popular language learning app in Asia…It is special as it uses real world examples e.g.news articles, youtube videos, instead of textbook style rigid exercise. LingQ mimics how we acquire our first language—through exposure, not grammar drills. After several trial, it is less handholding compared to Duolinguo, which may create obstacle for starter.
apologies – wrong window…This comment is meant for LingQ
Although I have not personally used Genially before, it sounds like a great platform that can be in the classroom to make learning more interactive and engaging. Not only can Genially be used by the teacher, Genially can be used by students to create projects, interactive presentations, or diagrams. It is neat how the three founders each had unique backgrounds, which allowed them to bring their own expertise to the company.
One concern I had was the user interface. Perhaps it was because it was embedded in this blog, but I found that some of the buttons in the embedded Genially presentation didn’t respond when clicked. It would be important for Genially to focus on making an interface that is friendly and can be used on all platforms (mobile, computer browser, etc).
