the benefits of mind mapping….

Hello all,

First off all, great presentation week 9 group. I enjoyed the ‘who are we’ section a lot. Added that human connection to the presentation. I’m not sure if I’m too earl to post but anyways, just thought I’d share some ideas….

Where do you see it (mind mapping) going in the future?

As you all know there are many websites which offer some sort of blend of the mind mapping idea. I had never heard of Cacoo, since I typically use Prezi, but Cacoo seemed pretty straightforward. In terms of venture possibilities I think just creating a mind mapping site that is easy to use and is capable of including all types of media would be a good start. Since theses types of mind mapping sites already exist, then it would obviously be an innovation based on what already works, as opposed to an entirely new idea. Since social websites dominate current trends, I suggest a mind mapping website that is communally owned by invited users that represents a group’s beliefs and opinions. Not sure how that would work though?

In terms of a class scenario that could be used with students, a teacher could create a mind mapping page with just one word in the centre and students could then log on or be invited to join in and create a class mind map which incorporates student ownership and ideas.

Thanks for the resources group 9.
