Hello from Southwestern Ontario!

Hello everyone,

My Name is Jamie Mayo, and I am currently beginning my fifth and six courses in the MET program. So far I have thoroughly enjoyed the program, and found each course I’ve taken to be quite different, but beneficial in its own way. I think the easiest way to introduce myself is to reuse a video that I created for a previous MET class, which outlines a bit about myself and the things I’m passionate about in education:

I look forward to learning more about (potential) ways in which mobile learning intersects with physical literacy and the arts, two of my main passions in and out of education. Looking forward to learning alongside everyone this semester!

    Hello Jamie,
Good to see you again in this course. If I am not mistaken you also finished ETEC512 last semester. Looking forward to learn from you again 🙂

    Hi Jamie,

It is nice to meet you. Kudos to you for undergoing this program with 2 kids under school age. Having 2 of those myself (well, one just started school this year), I can relate to how challenging but also rewarding that is. I am sure living in a small town has its perks, but I personally love the big city and have always lived in big cities though in different continents of the world.

I look forward to learning and working with you this semester.

      Hello,
I created the video last year, so my older daughter actually started school this past year as well, so sounds like we are in similar boats! From the sounds of things, life doesn’t get less busy as they get older, so I’m glad we’re both of the same mindset (I assume), which is to just power through it!
I am lucky , and have family that live in downtown Toronto, so I am still able to get my big city fix on a regular basis. The fact that you’ve lived in big cities in different continents around the world is very cool! I can imagine that you’d be a good tour guide, and would know the ins and outs of big cities well! I look forward to learning and working with you this semester as well.
