Hi All. My name is Nicole Magne (pronounced: Mang), and I’m joining you from Treaty 1 territory in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This is my final semester of MET, as I’m taking my 9th and 10th courses.
I’ve been working with Manitoba First Nations in the education sector for the last 20 years, previously as a video producer and, most recently, as a project manager in the development of a digital ecosystem. I recently made an unexpected career change, and I will be starting a new position in First Nations healthcare transformation. Starting June 1st, I will start my new role as the Director of Strategic Communications and mark a shift in my professional journey. I hope to connect with others in the healthcare sector or those working with Indigenous or First Nations communities, and how mobile technology can help transform lives for the better.
