Hi Everyone,

Here is my Rip.Mix.Feed. project.  It took me a while to decide what to do, I fiddled around with several different ideas and applications but wasn’t happy with a lot of them. I was really inspired by Module 4’s topic “Breakout of the Visual” and I’ve always had an interest in photography so thought I could use that to create something. I experimented with Bitmoji, Pixlr, BeFunky, and Insta3D to name a few but wasn’t inspired to go further.  In the end, I chose to use an app called Pixton to create a comic based on my process with this project, as well as some ideas presented in Danah Boyd’s article “Why Youth (Heart) Social Network Sites: The Role of Networked Public’s in Teenage Social Life.” My creation is simple but it was fun to make. I had a few challenges, like sometimes the chairs in the backdrops would mysteriously disappear and I couldn’t get the back or the speech bubbles would somehow change direction and point at the wrong person so it’s not perfect but hope you enjoy it.
