Hello everybody,

Here is my Rip.Mix.Feed project.

I was motivated to create a comic, because I like its visual appeal. My students are really into comics and graphic novels and its something I wanted to explore in more detail. Consequently, I used Pixton for my project!

With this project I have attempted to highlight one of the shortcomings of digital technology. This shortcoming is one that Ted Nelson deals with in some detail namely, the fact that it does not allow for enhanced reading techniques.

This form of production (the comic) is visual in nature and allows me to express the shortcomings of digital technology using space differently. It also allows for humour in a different way.

A potential drawback of this form of production is that it does not allow for a lot of explanation (in the way that a static text might). It is also lends a sense of “lightness ” to the subject, avoiding more serious discussion.
