These are case studies created by the students in the seminar.
The study of precedents allows architects to understand the current theories and state-of-the-art behind the design of the building or structure typology which they are designing. In this case, the students are looking at transportation infrastructure but the idea is the same. These case studies are intended to generate knowledge for the group on the social intention and implications of built infrastructures. The lessons learned can be applied both in their final design essay but also in any infrastructure designs that they undertake in the future.
