The Geography Graduate Association is the body that represents all graduate students in the Department of Geography at the University of British Columbia. Our purpose is to support the diverse needs of both human and physical Master’s and Doctoral students. To this end, we endeavour to:
A) Monitor the interests and concerns of graduate students
B) Represent graduate students on department-wide issues
C) Facilitate communication amongst graduate students, staff, and faculty
D) Organize and host academic- and nonacademic- related meetings and events
E) Foster a sense of community among graduate students. Broadly-speaking, we are committed to transparency, accountability, communication, and non-hierarchy.
