Characteristics: Smells like anise! Tall, upright, well-behaved, very attractive. Long spikes of purple flowers bloom for 5 weeks. Nice and neat, it stays put and doesn’t spread. It grows 1 metre across in clumps. Hyssop is the English word for plants in the mint family with this look. Completely herbaceous.

Growing conditions: Does better with moist soil.
