When you are ready to share your iBook there are a number of different ways you can view, save, print and export your book. If you are looking at sharing the raw .iba file so that others can edit it just save a version and make their own edits.

When you want to share it with others to view on their iPads you have to export the book you are working on. As long as the file extension says .ibooks it is ready to be distributed.
