Important Updates:

  • Complimentary adjoining rooms are now FULL for the nights of July 24, 25, and 26.
    • A few complimentary single rooms are still available for the nights of July 23, 24, 25, and 26.
    • A few complimentary adjoining rooms are still available for the nights of July 23.

  • The complimentary dormitory rooms will be in Nechako Residence, which is the same building that the conference itself will be held in.

    • Check-in begins at 4pm the afternoon of July 23rd, the day before the conference, and will continue through the 24th for those arriving the day of.
    • Check-in will be at the Nechako Residence building main desk.

 

  • Parking: 
    • “Lot F” is the closest to Nechako (see campus map here: https://maps.ok.ubc.ca/).
    • Parking in F Lot is ONLY complimentary for those staying in the dormitory.  If you are staying in the dorms, you MUST register your vehicle license plate in Nechako upon arrival.

    • For others attending, but not staying in the dormitories, you MUST PAY for daily parking using Honk Mobile App, or at a pay station in F Lot, or one of the other parking lots (see Campus Map).

 

  • For those who are planning to stay in a hotel, please see this website.
    • The Four Points Sheraton and Hampton Inn are both very close to UBC-O campus and the Kelowna Airport.  While very nice places to stay, they can be quite pricey.
    • More reasonably priced hotels can be found South from campus on Highway 97, closer to Kelowna City Centre.
    • Summer is a busy tourist season in the Okanagan, so it’ll be in your best interest to book as early as you can.
