Please read through the list of the frequently asked questions about the Specialist Journal Club:
How long does the series run?
The series of topics will run from January 8 – May 6, 2018. Each of the 5 topic sessions will run for 3 weeks. The following are start dates of the sessions:
JAN 8: Session One begins
JAN 29: Session Two begins
FEB 19: Session Three begins
APR 3: Session Four begins
APR 23: Session Five begins
MAY 6: Journal Club concludes
How to get credit for the course?
You will receive 2.0 study credits for each topic discussion cycle in which you participate. Thus you can achieve a total of 10.0 of Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons MOC Section 1 study credits for taking part in the full series.
To get maximum benefit from the discussion, we suggest visiting the journal club site approximately twice a week.
How do I comment on a post?
There are two ways for you to add a comment:
1.From the ‘Search’ bar, find the post (i.e. the topic or thread) you would like to make a comment on; or
2. You can click the bubble on the right side of the title of the post; or click the ‘leave a reply’ or # of replies;
3. You will be directed to the same field: all the existing comments of this post.
4. In the appropriate boxes, enter your name and email address.
5. Type your response in the larger box ‘Comments‘.
6. Click ‘Post Comment’ to have your response available in the journal club.
How can I be notified when a club member comments on a post that I have recently made?
In order to be notified, when you are writing you post you will need to check off the “Notify me of followup comments via e-mail” box which is located at the bottom of the ‘reply to post’ page.
How can I access the Specialist Journal Club on my mobile device?
All you have to do it type in the URL into your phone’s browser and a mobile version of the club will open. Click categories to help you navigate through the pages.
