Applications are open for Junior Student Leader positions with UBC Jump Start 2012!

UBC Jump Start is a transformative, transitional academic program for first year international and Aboriginal students. UBC Jump Start provides first year international and Aboriginal students with an intensive two-week academic preparation for university life that is followed by first year transition programming. UBC Jump Start offers a combination of lectures, classes, workshops, residence living, and social and cultural activities led by our outstanding faculty, staff, and student leaders.

UBC Jump Start is currently hiring 30-40 Junior Student Leaders. These positions are suitable for developing student leaders who are interested to grow their capacities as leaders and professionals. On Monday, January 9th (6-7:30pm, IBLC 260) and on Thursday, January 12th (6-7:30pm, BUCH D316), UBC Jump Start Staff will be hosting information sessions. These sessions provide an excellent opportunity for students who are interested in being a Junior Student Leader to learn more about the program and the position.

Hi everyone, welcome to my blog! As you can simply identify from the name of this blog that my name is Jenny!

I am an international student from China and It's been almost 5 years for me to be out for school on my own. After junior high school, i went to the capital city of our province for senior high and then 2 years ago, I came to Canada to start my university journey here in Vancouver. Undeniable It's been tough but I do appreciate those experiences as they made me more matured and positive when facing difficulties and obstacles and everything that in my daily life.

I am really into Badminton and enjoy photography and drawing. Hope we could be friends!=]
