You’ve created a brand with loyal and faithful customers. So tell me again why you would try and fix something that isn’t broken?

Gap recently launched a new logo to replace their traditional, well recognized logo. Now the only thing that comes to mind is why? When I think of Gap their traditional logo pops to mind along with their blue and white

store layout. In addition, the logo, to me at least, symbolized both the simplicity but still class of their product lines. The new logo, pictured to the right, no offense, looks like a cheap logo created in a computer program such as powerpoint. If I were to walk through a mall and see this logo not only would I not initially recognize the Gap brand and any loyalty that I had towards their Gap Body brand would be difficult to recall upon, simply because I would not know that the new Gap logo was still the old Gap store.
