In previous courses, you have used trig to help solve triangles (good old SOH CAH TOA and the sine law and cosine law). We are going to keep using all of that, but add in a WHOLE bunch more! For example:
- What about angles bigger than 180 degrees?
- What other units can angles be measured in?
- What do the graphs of the three primary trig functions look like?
- Are there other trig functions?
In this unit you will need to memorize a few things (special triangles, basic sine and cosine graphs, a few radian measurements) to help speed up the work. You will also need to keep your wits about you … enjoy!
