Nano Flow Cell AG, Tesla killer?

Nano Flow Cell automotive is a relatively new company founded in late 2013. They started off as a research company mainly conducting research on sustainable transports. In the 2014 Geneva motor show this particular company stood out from the crowd; introducing a salt water powered sports limousine with outstanding specifications.

Their innovation of using a unlimited resource to power their car is promising compared to existing firms that are currently producing cars that are sourcing energy from burning fossil fuels. Their value proposition is providing sustainable transport with having zero carbon emissions. They’re providing a product for the niche market of consumers, tagging into the luxury car market however this car is only for the rich and wealthy with an environmental awareness. Customers whom are willing to place a million dollars on a car that doesn’t have a loud exhaust or who are humble with their social presence.

Nano Flow Cell AG is applying the same marketing strategy as Tesla, by introducing their flag ship to draw market attention, establishing their brand name in the automotive market. Is Nano Flow Cell AG a promising company? Defiantly, it depends how would they implement marketing strategies in order to grab market share, especially when they have a 1 million dollar price tag on their first car.
