There are so much to learn outside the school, and to attend different conferences will sure broaden your view and expand your knowledge in different fields.

The Internet Marketing Conference will be celebrating its 10 year Anniversary by welcoming the Apple and Internet Guru, Guy Kawasaki as a keynote speaker to IMC Vancouver 2010, September 21st – 23rd.  Guy Kawasaki will be presenting a brand new keynote based on his new book: Enchantment: The Art of Changing Hearts, Minds, and Actions.  IMC, in its 10 years of production, is anticipating a record breaking 350 marketers from the most important companies in the Pacific Region to the Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver.

It’s going to be three days of intense Training, Conference and Networking activities with over 75 + speakers from the biggest companies in our Industry. Anticipate important sessions from Facebook, Google, Twitter, Bing, Digg, Apple, as well as user sessions from Mountain Equipment Co-Op and many other marketers.

Topics will range from Mobile to Social, Search to Affiliate, Email to Video, Analytics to Creativity and will influence and enlighten the participants on all the amazing things modern information technology can bring in terms of new business opportunities.

Our theme this year is Simple Marketing.  We will teach you how to simplify content, getting easy traffic & use tools  to create simple & easy, yet effective marketing:

• Google started with one simple function: search.
• Twitter started out serving only one function and asking one simple question: What are you doing?
• YouTube had one and only purpose: sharing videos.  It shared an extraordinarily simple user interface.
• Why is Apple the hottest company in our Industry in 2010? The success lies in their 30 year of work to simplify the experience for the users. Ipod, Iphone & now Ipad has one thing in common to the users: Easy to use.
  

IMC Vancouver’s three day event includes 1 day of training and 2 days of conference and will feature IMC’s official 10 year anniversary gala dinner on the evening of September 22nd.

Since i was kinda busy preparing for midterms, I have paused for 2 weeks without any new post.

This is a funny topic pops out right out of my mind when I’m writing this blog. There are many fake brands in China and everyone knows it. However, since they are cheap to buy/produce, many people in China are still willing to buy those products. In a marketing point of view, people do know the original brands, but since many people in China cannot offer to buy them so they buy fake ones instead.
