I am delighted to share with you that Erin Fields from Koerner library is kindly taking over the coordination of our library journal club – thanks so much, Erin!

Our next meeting is on Thursday, May 6th, 2010 at 2:00PM – 3:00PM in Barber’s Dodson Room, and we will be talking about Geographic information systems (GIS).

Are you curious to know what GIS is all about? Our own GIS Librarian Tom Brittnacher will be presenting an introduction to the concepts of GIS, show some examples of its use, and give an overview of UBC Library GIS services.
