Welcome

Welcome!

As UBC Faculty Advisor and Lecturer in the Faculty of Education, UBC, Vancouver, B. C., Canada, I’m available for questions about coursework and practicum, to obtain a B. Ed. and BC teaching certificate.

My research interests include issues of music/teacher education, performance ethnography, memoir, women’s life histories, autoethnography, writing practices, and arts-based approaches to qualitative research. My doctoral dissertation was a book of short stories titled Riffs of Change: Musicians Becoming Music Educators. I am a teacher, writer, musician, music educator, and researcher. Currently, I teach undergraduate and graduate students at UBC in both traditional and online contexts.

I look forward to having you as students and making your professional UBC B. Ed. year a positive and rewarding academic and educational experience.

Cheers,

Dr. Karen V. Lee
