Undoubtedly advertising is the most critical factor in marketing. Coca-Cola, a extremely successful company, will not be successful without its advertisements.
One of my classmates’ blogs, Billy Lam’s Blog(https://blogs.ubc.ca/billylam/), also wrote about Coca-Cola. As he said in his blog, the target of Coca-Cola is mainly towards young adult, so Coca-Cola’s advertisement is very sporty and energetic. Young adult is more care about the taste and feeling about the good they will purchase, and less care the downside of the good. As everyone knows, there are many sugars in a can of coke, which is very unhealthy. However, young adults can not feel that unhealthy issue immediately after drinking coke, what they feel is energetic and excited, and this is exactly what young adults want. In particular, Coke has dominated the sports market. Coke is the official sponsor for many huge sports event, such as Olympic games, World Cup, and etc. These games are hugely popular and watched by billions fans across the world. The object for Coca-Cola’s advertisements is that the company wants people once hear its brand can immediately relate its product to sport and things people like, instead of unhealthy issue. And Coca-Cola has reached this goal by its many creative advertisements.
