Have you seen this!!?!?!??

YouTube Preview Image

I am in love with this kid!!!!

If this is your first encounter with 15 year old Youtube sensation Keenan Cahill and you LOVE him as much as I do, not to worry, there are plenty more videos of him on YouTube!!!

It seems that since YouTube came out only 5 years ago in 2005, many new teen sensations are getting their start out by posting their videos on YouTube.  Who exactly? Well Justin Bieber was one of them!  He originally started posting videos for his friends and family and now he is selling millions of albums worldwide and is rumoured to be dating Selena Gomez (two years his senior)…cougar.  Well done Biebs…

Internet is so readily available these days that displaying one’s talents on YouTube has become a prime way to get noticed! It is so easy to browse and share videos online that almost anyone can become a YouTube sensation over night!!!

Do you guys have any favourite YouTube sensations??? If so, post them on my blog!!!

Hi Kirsten! I really enjoyed reading your post! So, as you stated, YouTube is increasingly becoming a place where people are marketing their different set of skills and testing the reaction of the public to further transform talent into “success”. In other words, it has become a place where “Consumer to Consumer” marketing is ubiquitous and businesses take advantage of the most emotionally appealing YouTube individuals, and sell them to the public. People now finally have a place that they can build their individual brand equity without having to go through a recruitment process, a television program, a magazine advertisement, or even the newspaper, which pertain to industries highly characterized by nepotism. Furthermore, there are costs for marketing yourself through these channels, while for YouTube, you just need internet access, and a camera. Why don`t companies take advantage of this situation and also build their brand equity? For which type of products would YouTubers be most sensitive to? How could businesses use YouTube as a space for advertisement co-creation, or to add value to their company?
