Socrates on Trial, March 14-16 at the Telus Theatre, Chan Centre, UBC

Last year the Faculty of Law and the Department of Philosophy held a dramatic reading of Plato’s “Apology” entitled “Socrates on Trial.”

UBC Faculty of Law’s Professor Steve Wexler gave a very convincing performance as Socrates.

Last year’s event was so popular that people were turned away at the door.

In March, Professor Steve Wexler will once again appear as Socrates. The performances will also include an abbreviated performance of Aristophanes’ comedy “The Clouds” before intermission.

Performances of SOCRATES ON TRIAL will be held at the Telus Theatre in the Chan Centre at UBC on

– Wednesday, March 14, 7:30 – 10:00 pm
– Thursday, March 15, 3:30 – 6:00 pm
– Friday, March 16, 7:30 – 10:00 pm
