Extended Exam Hours:
The Law Library will be open regular hours through to Tuesday, December 16, except for the following days when the library has a late closing of 10:00 pm.
Fridays: December 5 and 12
Sundays: November 30, December 7 and 14
For longer study hours, Koerner Library is open until 11:00 pm daily, and the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre is open until 1:00 am daily.
Law Library Closures:
Beginning on Wednesday, December 17, the Law Library will closed at 5:00 pm weekdays, and will be closed on weekends as well as from December 25 through to January 1.
Regular hours resume on Monday, January 5.

The UBC Law Library has an opening for a work study student assistant position from January 5th, 2009 – April 30th, 2009. The position is a 4-hour shift on Thursday evenings, from 6:00 pm -10:00 pm.
Duties include shelving; shelf reading; picking up & straightening materials in the book stacks; some circulation desk work; providing basic information to library users; and helping to close the library. The position wage is $16.16 an hour.

Food for Fines is a joint AMS and UBC Library initiative to support disadvantaged members of the community. UBC Library users who wish to donate non-perishable food items may have $2 in fines paid for each food item donated, up to a maximum of $20. Food donations will be given to both the Vancouver Food Bank and the AMS Food Bank.
The Food for Fines program will take place in all UBC Library branches from Monday, November 24th to Sunday, November 30th (inclusive). Acceptable food donations include any non-perishable canned or packaged food. Perishable items or anything requiring refrigeration cannot be accepted. Those without library fines may donate food; however, their Library accounts could not be credited.
