The University of British Columbia’s Faculty of Law today received gifts totaling $1 million from Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG) and the Ladner family to support its building campaign. UBC plans to construct a new facility on the existing law school site at its Vancouver campus.

“The gifts from BLG and the pioneering B.C. Ladner family will enable the Faculty of Law to provide an enhanced learning environment for future generations of law students,” says UBC Dean of Law Mary Anne Bobinski. “We’re delighted with their generous and longstanding commitment to legal education at UBC.”

In recognition of this gift, UBC will name a prominent lecture theatre “Ladner Hall” in memory of Thomas E. Ladner Q.C., who passed away last year.
