This digital story is an example of an activity (that is a part of a larger set of activities) connected to identity and the power of story that participants would undertake in one of the modules of the pro-d course for the First Peoples Principles of Learning. I used myself as an example/model for this activity. My reflection will be included in Assignment #3.

Jo-anne,
Based on your description I can’t wait to watch this!

Thanks for your comment Keri. It alerted me to the fact that I when I had deleted the original video I’d posted to You Tube yesterday, I hadn’t replaced it on this blog with the revised one.
I don’t see this DS as an instructional piece in and of itself; it is more of an example of an activity that can be used for participants (of the moodle course) as a part of the exploration of their own stories/identities – as this has a direct influence of how we see those concepts interacting with learning in our classrooms. When I am done with assignment #3 I’d love to get your feedback.
Thanks,
Jo
Hi Jo,
could you please post your video comment about the experience with creating a digital story?
I also could not hear any audio. Was there supposed to be any sound or not?
Natasha
Hi Natasha,
Ignore other response – got it now. Will post video response in Connect.

Hi Natasha,
I am confused. The assignment instructions read
“At this stage, you posting does not need to include any description or reflection, only your digital story. You will edit this posting when you complete your Content Module
◾The reflection on your assignment #3 will include your reflection on the digital story task.”
Are their two reflections we need to do for the digital story?
There is no audio. The audio options available with this tool were not suitable for my purposes.
