Course Description

The aim of this course is to further develop speaking, reading and writing in Swedish. Classes consist of communicative exercises, group discussions, individual and group presentations of a Swedish topic of your choice plus film screenings and music presentations. Parallel to the Rivstart material, we will work with a special project which the class decide on together.

– to perfect speaking and listening skills
– to cover all of the elementary grammar points
– to be able to express yourself in a variety of contexts, also in written for
– to be able to introduce yourself and share information about your education, future plans etc.
– to be able to write more complex texts including a film analysis
– to be able to read and discuss an article and a literary text

Material

We use the same material in all four levels of Swedish (SWED 100,110, 200 and 210) so you only need to buy one textbook and one workbook: Scherrer, Rivstart A1+A2: textbok and övningsbok.
