Below is more information regarding the Sustainability Workshop

Sustainability is not exclusively associated with the natural environment. The need for people to have access to basic assets to not only survive, but to grow are key for a prosperous and sustainable society. Join us for a lively discussion and interactive breakout sessions on how we as individuals and as a society can tackle the systemic social issues that inflict marginalized communities.

Keynote:

Jeff Baergen: Community Engagement Coordinator at the UGM in the Downtown Eastside (Systemic Issues)

Panel Members:

Tara Taylor: Potluck Catering and Manager at Recipes for Success (Social Enterprises)

Patti Bacchus: Trustee, Vancouver Board of Education (Policy & Education)

Marcia Nozick: CEO, Embers (Eastside Movement for Business & Economic Renewal Society)

Cherie Payne: LL.B, Consulting, former Vancouver School Board Trustee (Advocacy & Public Engagement)

NOTE: Please RSVP via EventBrite by Monday, February 23 at 5:00pm PST. Those who can no longer attend, please e-mail info@valuesinperspective.com. These workshops are more interactive in nature and hence smaller in size so make sure to RSVP before spots fill up!
