Centennial Harvest Feast – Sept 24, 2015

Centennial Harvest Feast: share a meal, share a story.
On September 24th, Centennial Harvest Feast will invite 1,000 members of the UBC community
including students, faculty, staff, residents, alumni and members of the public for a family style
dinner on Main Mall to celebrate 100 years of UBC.  We hope you’ll join us!

UBC Food Services and AMS Conferences and Catering will be preparing a three-course meal that
is inspired by everything UBC including fresh, local produce from the UBC Farm. Tables will be set
up in groups of 20 so guests can mingle and make new acquaintances. Our MC AMS President
Aaron Bailey, and music from our DJ will round off the festive atmosphere of this celebration
dinner.

Last year’s sell-out event was a huge success with our guests, however, they told us that there
was one thing they would change: they wanted the fun and company to continue after dinner.
This year, we’re very pleased to let you know we are partnering with the incredible Arts and Culture
District to bring our guests Arts Night Out— venues including the Museum of Anthropology, Chan Centre,
Belkin Art Gallery and more will be opening their doors to Centennial Harvest Feast guests with free
shows and exhibits.

All of this is included in one ticket price (ranging from $20-$30) designed to be accessible to all
members of our community. Tables of 20 are also available. You’ll find more information on the event and a link to our ticket site here:  planning.ubc.ca/ harvestfeast.

We welcome everyone to share a meal and share a story at this celebration of friends, community and
culture at UBC and hope that you’ll invite your friends and colleagues and help us promote this event
through your networks and newsletters. If you require any more information about the event, please
contact Shiloh Bouvette, Manager Community Programs and Outreach at 604-822-9318 or at
Shiloh.bouvette@ubc.ca.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Best wishes,

Campus + Community Planning
