LFS Community Dinner: “A Taste of BC”
It’s that time of year again, the annual and highly anticipated Community Dinner! You are invited to join the Land and Food Systems Undergraduate Society (LFS|US) and the 4th year Dietetics students for a “Taste of BC”.
This 5-course meal will take your taste buds on a tour through the renowned growing regions of this beautiful province. Experience locally grown food, paired with locally brewed beers and wines. Come celebrate the land and community of British Columbia with us!

Early bird pricing (OCTOBER 19TH – NOVEMBER 6TH)
LFS students: $35
Non-LFS students, staff, faculty, and guests: $45
Regular pricing (After NOVEMBER 7TH)

Roasted butternut squash bruschetta, West Coast lox, & cream cheese
Lower Mainland Kale Salad
Served with Brussels sprouts and finished with pumpkin seeds & a lemon vinaigrette dressing
Okanagan Golden Pear Soup
Warm, fall spiced yam & Okanagan pears
Fraser Valley Mushroom Risotto
Served with braised elk or tofu steaks, paired with roasted vegetables
Northern BC Bannock
Served with mixed BC berry compote & roasted hazelnut brittle
The LFS Community Dinner is a licensed event; therefore ATTENDEES MUST BE 19 YEARS OF AGE and provide two pieces of ID (one must be government-issued w/photo) at the event. In addition, we cannot promise that our event will be nut-free.
This year we are partnering with the AMS Food Bank to pay it forward to the greater UBC Community. We will be collecting voluntary donations at the event. Check out http://www.ams.ubc.ca/services/food-bank/inventory-donations/ for a list of items that they are in short supply of.
