1. Your group will now get a quick, but yummy opportunity to practice using a rubric!  Look at this rubric for chocolate chip cookies.   If you’re lucky, your teacher will have provided each group member with a chocolate chip cookie!  Read through each category on the rubric. Discuss and decide with your group exactly how the cookie measures up.

2. Your group has been assigned to work with a specific mode of writing.  You will be the class experts in this area.  Title your wiki page with the name of your writing mode.

3. Please find your mode of writing on this reference guide.  Brainstorm and decide what the most important characteristics are for your writing mode.  Record this on your wiki page under the subtitle: Important Characteristics.
