In case anyone is interested (and if you’re a geek for the CBC, like I am) here’s a link to a very relevant and enlightening podcast that just might spark some good discussion in this class or even in your other non-school life. You can use the information to become the most educated (sounding) person at any party!
The podcast in question (which I mentioned in my last post) is “Spark,” and you can find it here.
Enjoy!

Great suggestion, Rob! I’m adding this to my subscriptions in iTunes. Another fun podcast is RadioLab from WNYC (http://www.radiolab.org/), which is also available for a free download. Although not as targeted as this one to our topic, I find all kinds of fun information there on the human brain, language, society, and general science topics.
I’d like to throw in suggestions for:
* This Week in Google (http://twit.tv/twig):a weekly view of what’s going on in the world of web-apps, social media and could computing (not just google, stuff, though they talk about it quite a bit), and
* Search Engine (http://www.tvo.org/searchengine/), a Canadian view of the social and political impact of the internet.
