Heya. My name is Charmaine, and this blog was created for my English 470 Canadian studies class. Feel free to read, peruse, engage, and enjoy!

I’m a student at the University of British Columbia studying English Literature and Creative Writing. I was born in Scarborough OT and grew up in Vancouver; I’ve been a privileged resident and student on traditional, unceded Musqueam land since I was three years old. A few of my likes include: the Pacific Northwest, reading, television, winter sports, music, and dogs (which, excuse me, are better than cats).
