Final Exam

Woohoo, exam week!
I just had my last exam today, and this is basically what happened:

I discovered a lot of fun new terms and topics on my final today.
“Let’s skip this question, I will come back to it later… Oh, and I will do this one later…. And this one too.”
That mini panic attack when you hear “10 minutes left!”
Walking out of my final: We fought valiantly.

Although the final was super difficult and nothing like I expected, the course was a very fun and amazing one. 🙂
Good luck to the rest of students cruising into your last exams!

Night Classes

This term, I took a night class from 6:oopm to 9:oopm. It definitely threw my sleeping schedule off, but I loved my awesome professor, and the course was fantastic!

So today, I decided to share some pros and cons of taking a night class!

Pros:

  • Smaller class size – I was able to participate in class discussions more, and got to know my professor better.
  • Students in night classes are usually there because it is the only time that works in their schedule. This means that these students are willing to sacrifice their time to be there, and that they are serious about studying.
  • Great option if you want a flexible schedule. Want that dream summer job? How about that feeling of warm Wreck Beach sand between your toes? There’s time to spare!

Cons:

  • You don’t have to worry about getting up early. Your sleeping pattern will be messed with. Curse or blessing, you choose.
  • If you are taking afternoon classes on top of night classes or have a daytime job, you will need a lot of discipline – getting enough sleep, taking time to study, finding time to socialize, etc. etc.
  • How alert are you at 8:oopm? If you’ve put in a full day of work, you may need willpower to drag yourself to class.

  • Yes, you will miss your dinner. Bring healthy snacks.

Happy Studying! ☺
