This blog is an online discussion space for LLED 449, “Teaching Adolescents Literature.” The course is intended to introduce prospective secondary teachers to a range of fiction appropriate for students in grades eight through twelve. Among other things, we consider how to select literature for a variety of audiences, discuss the issues inherent in the texts read in class, and explore approaches to engaging students in response and interpretation.
