Logan, I love the video as always. I think I’ve said this before, but I really like that at least one person does a video blog… but am also glad that not too many choose this option, mostly because it does take a lot more time to watch, as opposed to scanning through a written blog post. But this leaves me with a big soft spot for those who do, not least because we also get a bit more insight into you, as we see your room and your posters and everything…
Anyhow, I’m glad you like that class, and perhaps especially that you appreciated the discussions. What you say also reminds me of E M Forster’s Howard’s End (a book I recommend, though it’s been a long time since I read it), as the slogan there is “Only connect!” I also happen to think that the secret to succeeding in university–even, to doing well in university, as this is the secret of the best students–is an ability to connect between courses and classes, even if at first sight they seem wildly different. I hope you have also been able to make some of those connections, or will be able to do so in the future, perhaps returning to some of the ideas and approaches that we’ve outlined here.
