In order to map flooded areas along the Fraser river, we used a two storm scenarios resulting in 1m and 2m increases in water elevation levels in the Fraser and nearby tributaries. Using DEM point data of the Fraser River, we used a flooding out technique to construct flooding elevations which we used along with the DEM to calculate the areas that are flooded[1].
