Hi Everyone! My name is Seanna and I am currently completing my MLIS at the School of Library, Archival and Information Studies (SLAIS) at UBC. I’ve developed this blog for LIBR 559M: Social Media for Information Professionals. Before beginning this course my social media involvement was limited to Facebook communication with friends and a few blog entries for class projects so much of the social media world is very new to me.
Since I’m such a new social media user I think I need to start at square one and explore and become comfortable with the different social media applications before I can really make good use of them for library related purposes. So, at least to begin, I plan to use this blog to reflect on my general experiences using social media and then foray into applications for libraries.
