Stopping Time is a radio documentary produced in Vancouver, B.C. It explores the idea that music can transcend time, and it looks into the consequences of that idea for people who make classical music today. It features several of Vancouver’s most passionate and expert musical voices, in order of appearance:

Bramwell Tovey, the music director of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra

David Metzer, music history professor at the University of British Columbia

Nathan Hesselink, UBC ethnomusicology professor

Jonathan Girard, music director of the UBC Symphony Orchestra

Jocelyn Morlock, composer

David Pay, director of the Music on Main concert series

Julia Nolan, saxophonist and UBC saxophone instructor

Larry Knopp, principal trumpet of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra

Jeremy Berkman, trombonist and co-founder of the Turning Point Ensemble
