Chapter 1: The story begins with a young girl named Scout narrating about the circumstances that led to her brother Jem, breaking his arm; she then recounts her family history.

Chapter 2: Scout goes to school. Her teacher Miss Caroline deals poorly with children. Atticus teaches scout to read but Miss Caroline makes her feel guilty for learning.

Chapter 6: After fleeing from the Radley Place, the children discover that Nathan Radley shot at a black man in his yard.

Chapter 14: While Scout was learning about the mixed children of Mr. Dolphus. Macomb was filled with people to the brim while almost everyone of all colours attended the hearing at the courthouse. #thingsmatter

Chapter 15: Tom Robinson is moved to the Macomb jail. Jim, Scout and Dill follow Atticus to the Macomb jail and find other men, including Tom Robinson.

Chapter 16: The trial of Tom Robisinon is getting close, with tensions rising. Scout asks what rape is. Find Dill underneath Scout’s bed #whosgonnawinthetrial #toocrazyforme.

Chapter 17: The trial begins in chapter 17, in which Mr. Ewell and Mr. Heck tAte describe what has happened to Mayella. The jury sees that Mr. Ewell is left-handed and a left-handed man would be more likely to leave bruises n the right side of a girl’s face.

Chapter 18: Atticus asks Mayella why she didn’t scream louder to bring up the other children. #weak #shouldvescreamedlouder

Chapter 19: Tom was questioned, turns out Mayella had other things on her mind that night. Dill just couldn’t take the heat. #manupdill #tellthatstorytom

Chapter 20: Mr. Dolphus is drinking from a paper sack and he offers Dill some but Scout warns him not to drink too much. Dill says it’s only Coca-Cola.

Chapter 21: The kids get caught listening in on the trial. Atticus invites them back & they hear the jury’s verdict- Tom Robinson is guilty. #cry
