I’m Michaela!
Who am I, you may ask?
I’m a second year Arts student at the University of British Columbia. I grew up in the big city of Edmonton, Alberta but I love Vancouver with all my heart!
Later this year I will be applying to the UBC School of Nursing for potential entrance to their September 2015 intake. Currently I have a focus on Psychology, Sociology, and Health and Society in my studies with the Faculty of Arts.

And the blog?
This blog is a collection of the many journeys I’ve embarked on at UBC and in Vancouver. My blog title comes from the 1943 French novella Le Petit Prince. Says the fox to the little prince: “Voici mon secret. Il est très simple: on ne voit bien qu’avec le cœur. L’essentiel est invisible pour les yeux. / Here is my secret. It is very simple: It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.” I may not know what my journey over the next four years will entail, and it is definitely not clear where it will take me. All I can do is follow my heart.
