Practicum Reflection

My practicum took place at Steveston London Secondary School in Richmond, B.C. I taught Tech 8, Drafting and Woodwork for the 10 weeks I was there and covered every grade from 8-12. I worked alongside my two Student Advisor’s – Simon Nowak and Bill Tillotson as well as my Faculty Advisor – Theresa Magee. As expected, there were times of success and times of struggle. However, the practicum overall was successful and I believe I accomplished my goals as a teacher candidate and have learned a lot about myself as a teacher and a person through these 10 weeks. My time spent at the school was both enriching and positive and I am looking forward to returning to SD38 (Richmond) in September as a newly certified teacher. I have attached documentation of my weekly reflections during the practicum which outline the goals of the week, struggles and questions I had for the following week.
