Literacy of Firearms
Literacy in firearms fit my definition as it extends past just reading and writing into my personal interests and beliefs. Not only do I need to learn about the workings of firearms, I must know how to apply the knowledge I know in order to make it properly work. My knowledge in this area will be life long knowledge and as long as I continue practicing, I will continue to learn.
To be literate in firearms requires knowing and understanding the components of guns, how they operate and the safety rules around them. I also need to know the laws that apply to guns and that apply to me as an owner. My knowledge of firearms also extends to the culture surrounding firearms, including the positive and negative opinions.
