My research is at the interface of mathematical modeling and computational tools development to study industrial fluid mechanics. Mainly, I am interested in mathematical modeling and computational study of complex fluid mechanics problems. During my Ph.D., I investigated multi-layer flows of complex fluids with application to heavy oil transportation using analytical and mathematical modeling (link to my Ph.D. dissertation). In this work, we show the effect of yield stress in stabilizing the interface between fluids with different properties and shaping the interface as required. As a graduate student, I have received prestigious awards including Teaching Fellowship and Leadership Awards. During my Ph.D., I have volunteered in multiple programs that aim to increase minority participation in the graduate association and helping graduate students in their grad lives.
