Summary: This Learning Object discusses the concepts behind the reflection and transmission of mechanical waves, and briefly introduces an application of these processes (ultrasound imaging). It is hoped that this LO can help people gain insight into now only when a reflected wave is inverted, but why the wave is inverted.
