There will be a PoWG Brown Bag with Jesse Baltutis, on May 7th, 2014.
Time: Noon
Venue: AERL Room 419, (Fishbowl) 4th Floor
Jesse Baltutis, a researcher with the University of Victoria’s POLIS Water Sustainability Project, and a PhD student with UVic’s Department of Geography, will discuss the recent Watersheds 2014 event that brought together 200 watershed groups, researchers, professional resource managers, decision-makers at all levels of government, including First Nations, students, and community members, for a 3-day “roll up your sleeves and get to work” event. Jesse will discuss major learnings from the event, and next steps.
More information on the event can be found here: http://watersheds2014. ca/about
Further, Jesse’s presentation will also touch on his PhD research interests, which will broadly examine the role that sub-state actors play in trans-boundary water governance processes.
Please mark your calendars.
