Hello Everyone,

We had another great week. We had our “Geering Up” workshop were we learned about Matter as well as had the opportunity to use Ozobots. If you don’t know what these are, please look them up! I hope to get some of them for the classroom one day.

Monday: Computer

Tuesday: Gym and Music

Wednesday:  Gym- Special BC Hydro Presentation By Gavin’s Dad!

Thursday: Sports Day ( Please see below for more into)

Friday:   ProD day

Up Coming Events:

May 16th – Sports Day. This year, Renfrew has decided to mix up the classes. So all of DIV 20 will not be on the same team. The teams were made up by Ms. Sandhu.

Sports Day ends at approx. 1:45pm, my thoughts are that we would have a “Picnic”. I am thinking some simple snacks; Veggies, Fruit, Cracker, Chips. If you would like to send your child with a snack and a blanket we can leave them in the classroom till after Sports Day. We will still have another end of the year party (Date will be confirmed next week so everyone has lots of notice) so please do not worry if you cannot make it this day.

Div 1. Ms. Visser’s class is having a Bake Sale for Sports Day. If you would like to send your child with a dollar or two to purchase some treats for them to eat during their lunch… I personally wouldn’t advise anyone to eat a bunch of cookies before doing a potato sac race!

Who is on what team:

Mrs. Moody, Group 7:  Anne (WHITE), Tasha (WHITE), Murphy (BLACK), Ada (BLACK)

Ms.Asif, Group 8:  Owen (RED), Vivek (RED), Jimmy (BLUE), Aidaan (BLUE)

Ms. Smith, Group 9:  Ameera (WHITE), Logan (WHITE)

Mrs. Fryer-Mangan, Group 10:  Liam (RED), Zoe (RED), Carson (BLUE), Sloane (BLUE), Chloe (BLACK)

Mrs.Hepburn, Group 12:  Sylvie (RED), Simran (BLUE), Quinn (BLUE), Nygel (WHITE), Gavin (BLACK)

Please reach out if you have any questions,

Thanks,

Ms. Smith

Hello Everyone,

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekends filled with sunshine and family fun.

Last week we had a more relaxing week, we took advantage of the sunshine and spent time learning from our garden.

We also had our annual earthquake drill. I observed that some children were nervous about this but overall we did really well. If you haven’t had a chance to review this with your child please do so. We also had fun playing games and spending time with a few other primary classes. I personally really enjoyed this time as it was a great opportunity to have both Montessori and neighbourhood  children mingle together as well as children in other grades.

If you haven’t done so please take a moment to pay online or give your child money for our upcoming in class “Field Trip”. I am really looking forward to it.

Monday: Computer

Tuesday: Gym and Music

Wednesday:  Gym (Science in Class Field Trip)

Hello Everyone,

Div. 20 had a great week! I am so proud of them and I am really seeing great leadership from the grade 3’s which makes me feel as though they are getting ready for grade 4. My grade 2’s are gearing up to take over the leadership roll in the classroom and I am also excited for that opportunity. My grade 1’s have become well adjusted and are very much part of our classroom community and contributing in their own ways.

They also led their first independent Classroom meeting! Please ask them about it.
