Application Package

Enclosed in this application package is three documents for my application to UBC’s Go Global Research Abroad program. This program enables students to undertake research under a supervisor at a different academic institution. It is the flexibility provided with this self-directed research placement that draws me to this program.

Resume – Re: Research Abroad Placement

This resume provides a summary of my recent work and volunteer experience, past schooling, and relevant extracurricular activities. Listed after each experience are the skills and duties that were required and may be relevant to the research abroad placement.

Cover Letter – Re: Research Abroad Placement

The cover letter highlights my laboratory skills obtained through experience working as a research assistant with a supervisor in a fish physiology lab as well as through my success at the UBC Multidisciplinary Undergraduate Research Conference.

Reference Letter Request – Re: Research Abroad Placement

These three separate reference letter requests addressed to a former employer, coach, and professor ask to endorse my work experience, good character, and relevant skills outlined in my resume and cover letter.
